With all the discussions I have with SAAS founders, it is the rare ones who had these numbers on their finger tips or those who are measuring them at least on a monthly cadence. <br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p><strong>David Cummings<\/strong>\u00a0built his spreadsheet which he shares in his post which itself was a derivative of a post by\u00a0<strong>Christoph Janz<\/strong>\u00a0who writes in his blog\u00a0<em>The Angel VC<\/em>\u00a0(and is a partner at Point Nine Capital) and wrote the first version of this SAAS KPI Dashboard. His spreadsheet was focused on organic self serve products which David Cummings enhanced for sales aided processes.\u00a0<strong>Christoph Janz\u00a0<\/strong>also updated his versions and pointed to\u00a0<em>ChartMogul<\/em>\u00a0which can provide a real time dashboard. The<\/em><strong><em>&nbsp;\/\/ bold<\/em><\/strong><em>&nbsp;are the modifications &#8211; alternate metrics that David Cummings included in his modified version.)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The one that&nbsp;<strong>David Cummings<\/strong>&nbsp;modified for use by SaaS products that are using a sales assisted method. He added Leads to the signup metrics. So, in place of&nbsp;<em>New Signups<\/em>&nbsp;it is&nbsp;<em>New Web Leads<\/em>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<em>Visitor to Signup Conversion rates<\/em>&nbsp;is&nbsp;<em>Visitor to Lead Conversation rates.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both are fundamentally the same and if you follow the chain in the links you will find more versions by&nbsp;<strong>Christoph Janz<\/strong>&nbsp;that include multiple pricing tiers and annual subscription plans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>So what are you measuring? What else is critical?
