Bragging about the 25 things we are doing simultaneously and sleeping 4 hours or less seems to get a lot of ink and attention. However it rarely works. And it is rarely true.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Try focus for a change in 2020. I have written multiple times on these ideas and the need for \u2018one thing at a time\u2019 mantra and thought of reiterating it for myself and sharing this succinct piece by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/ACoAAAwf01gBiRHvdoHXNecgomTyLIEiXfhGDeI\/\">Darius Foroux<\/a>  (see my post #149 for more from Darius) as we start thinking of the next year and our goals and objectives. He quotes from Gary Keller and Jay Papasan, authors of The One thing &#8211; \u201c\u201cWhere I\u2019d had huge success, I had narrowed my concentration to one thing, and where my success varied, my focus had too&#8230;Success is sequential, not simultaneous.\u201d\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is hard to not do many things  in the world we live in &#8211; but we all know about distraction and attention residue ( see my post #15).  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The core of this article is Success adds up and one needs to leverage the law of compounding. Darius uses an interesting example of who else but Warren Buffet to illustrate the points.
