It&#8217;s called \u2018Working Backwards\u2019 writes <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/ACoAAA0mmG8BscQ6qb9_9fHiZEzbOstzgJ0W-gY\/\">Justin Bariso<\/a> in Inc. citing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/ACoAAAA6BIsBM7j7-kXObK7kFrcp5QPsHf8ZeDM\/\">Ian McAllister<\/a> on Quora detailing &#8216;Amazon\u2019s approach for product development&#8217;. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>The first step is for a Product Manager to write an internal Press Release  announcing the finished product &#8211; \u201cInternal press releases are centered around the customer problem, how current solutions (internal or external) fail, and how the new product will blow away existing solutions,&#8221; and this will be iterated on till it sounds exciting to potential customers.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is the broad structure according to Ian McAllister: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Heading:  Name the product in a way the target customers will understand.<br>Subheading:  Describe who the market for the product is and what benefit they get. One sentence only underneath the title.<br>Summary:  Give a summary of the product and the benefit.
