The Startup Genome Report for 2019 was out a few months back and it lists the top 30 destinations where the startup ecosystem is thriving.
Silicon valley still takes the top spot by far. Followed by New York city, London, Beijing and Boston making up the top 5. Tel Avis is tied with LA in spots 6 – 7, Paris at 9, Toronto at 13, Bangalore at 18 and Vancouver at 24.
Creating $4 billion in Ecosystem value are 46 ecosystems creating that level of economic impact, up from 15 in 2012. “By definition, the list of top startup ecosystems will always be limited. But what this $4 billion barrier in Ecosystem Value shows is that many places, all over the globe, have a real shot at building thriving, local startup economies.” – states the report.
