CBInsights has put out another interesting infographic that lists all the 310 Unicorns around the world. They sort unicorns into 13 categories, from cyber security to Internet Software Services. The Other category includes companies within real estate, ed tech, renewable energy, aerospace, etc.
Top 5 unicorn that round up a total valuation of $203B include Bytedance ( $75B) Uber ($72B) Didi Chuxing ($56B) WeWork (47B) and e-cigarette maker JUUL Labs ( $38B).
The largest group is Internet Software & Services. Of the 112 Unicorns in 2018 39 was from this category with a combined value of $64B.
India has 13 companies in the list. The surprise is Renew Power Ventures, India’s largest renewable energy power producer with capacity of 5800MW, valued at $2.3B.
Other categories include E-Commerce, Finch and On Demand which has 23 Unicorns.
